If your littles are like mine, they love to give you presents.  Drawings, Lego structures, dandelion bouquets, macaroni art, bells bent into a flower shape and everything else in between, my boys have given it all to me.  I love each and every gift from their sweet hearts.

I was checking out Pinterest for some cute (and easy) Valentine gifts for my boys to make for the various grown ups in their life.  These projects could be great one on one time with your kiddos or do them as a family!    I think sometimes as adults, we forget how fun it can be to sit and do a kid craft.  They come together quickly and the end result is always adorable in its charming imperfect way!

I settled on the idea of fingerprint crafts and Pinterest delivered!  I like fingerprint crafts because they’re personal and a sweet keepsake from your little one.  Check out this super cute craft from The Mad House and be sure to search for “Valentine thumbprint crafts” on Pinterest.

Crafting on the Winter Struggle Bus!

images

Did you know that approximately half a million Americans suffer from seasonal affective disorder (SAD)?!  Just like the acronym says, seasonal affective disorder causes a major case of sadness and the “blahs” for a lot of us.  Did you know that crafting and creating can help you with your SAD?  Making something, whether it be knitting, crocheting, paper crafting, sewing, cooking, drawing, painting, or whatever else tickles your crafting fancy, occupies your mind and keeps your little hands busy.  It distracts us from the gray misery that’s outside our window.

So go!  Get on Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration!  Crank up some happy music and craft your way through the winter blues.  Spring is in approximately 50 days; you’ve got this!
